Maintain pool PH between 7.2 - 7.6
Remove all debris from skimmer basket
Ensure your pool's filtration is set to run everyday for 12-24 hours a day (more run time = faster results)
Set the flow rate for your skimmer basket between 4-15 Gallons per minute
Switch to a liquid Chlorine vs stabilized pool tablets that contain CYA (until CYA levels reach 30 ppm or less

Remove Guardian CYA Remover pouch from the protective plastic inside the box
Place the Guardian CYA Remover pouch into the clean skimmer basket.
If the space is tight, you can gently push the bag down into the skimmer basket
Pouch must be fully immersed under water

Cyanuric Acid (CYA)
Cyanuric Acid, sometimes referred as CYA, is a chlorine stabilizer for swimming pools and has been designed to reduce chlorine loss caused by the sun’s ultraviolet rays. CYA is found in pool granules or tablets, sometimes labeled as Dichlor and Trichlor, or sold individually as a pool stabilizer, and is widely used and necessary in outdoor swimming pools .
Having CYA in moderation helps your chlorine work to sanitize the water. But if your CYA is not balanced correctly, problems will start to occur. Too much CYA will inhibit the chlorine from working and will increase the amount of time it takes to kill bacteria. Too little CYA and the chlorine will be broken down by the sun’s UV rays.
The ideal level for CYA is between 30‐50 ppm for fresh water pools and 60-80 ppm for salt water pools. In the past, when the CYA levels built up in the pools water, it was recommended to drain 1000’s of gallons of pool water and refill it to offset the CYA levels. Today, it is no longer necessary to pump good water into our drains.
Let the GUARDIAN H2O CYA Remover help maintain your CYA levels to ideal levels and keep your pool crystal clear.
Too much or too little pool stabilizer (Cyanuric Acid) may cause your pool to allow algae growth. CYA levels should be tested regularly to ensure your chlorine is working optimally to sanitize the water
Balanced CYA
Potentially too high / low CYA
